Mergers & Acquisition Intern
Veritiv’s Internship Program will provide real world experience, team projects, social events, volunteer work and professional development trainings. The internships are full-time, hybrid and run June 2 to August 8, 2025.

Job Purpose:

Our Mergers & Acquisition Intern will assist the team by conducting comprehensive financial analyses, performing due diligence, and assisting in the seamless execution of high-value transactions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a strong analytical mindset and exceptional attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities:

● Collaborate with multiple internal customers on projects and presentations.
● Identify opportunities to streamline process improvements.
● Take ownership of a project and then assist other team members to support company initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Assist in evaluating potential acquisition risks and opportunities through detailed financial analysis and industry research.Collect, review, and analyze financial data of targets to inform strategic decision-making.Assist in the preparation of executive-level presentation materials such as deal approvals, diligence findings, and business overviews.Conduct industry research and competitive analysis to identify potential acquisition targets, market trends, and growth opportunities.Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand the business implications of mergers and acquisitions.Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar majors preferred.Knowledge of financial modeling and valuation techniques demonstrated through prior internship experience, university clubs, or coursework preferred.

● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.● Ability to work in a team environment.● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.● Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.● Must be highly motivated, flexible and deadline driven.● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.● Strong planning and organization skills are required.● Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills are required.● The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Education:

● Bachelor's Degree In Progress
