The primary purpose of this role is to direct the day to day activities of all aspects of shrink control involving: merchandising, operations, EAS/RFID Source Tagging and store set up. This role works with the organization to identify high shrink/damage items, drive analysis of the causes of the shrink/damages, and facilitate the creation of action plans that will reduce Lowe's continued shrink/damage exposure for those items. The principle purpose of this position is to enable an environment actively fostering collaboration between the field and SSC personnel to accomplish desired capabilities, tools and shrink mitigation improvements. This position will facilitate the information cascade of programs and events from SSC and field personnel and communicate updates to the Director of Merchandise Shrink for direction and critical decisions. This role works closely with the Regional Asset Protection and Safety Directors / Managers as well as SSC based support functions to identify and proactively address needs, opportunities and provide immediate support in response to incidents in the field
What you will do
Works with merchants, vendors, supply chain, and logistics personnel for assigned categories to identify causes of shrink and damages.
Develops cross functional action plans to minimize shrink and damage exposure within assigned categories.
Identifies, tests, and deploys product protect solutions that align with Lowe's Purpose through managing vendor relations and validating store execution of product protection programs.
Serves as SME's and support other functions with concerns regarding shrinkage.
Completes company-wide shrink and store use transaction analysis reports for assigned categories to report and assist department with budgets and assets.
Maintains active and correct line review calendar to ensure shrink and damage issues are addressed prior to new items arriving to Lowe's stores
Creates and delivers merchant shrink reduction training to support shrinkage efforts
Creates and delivers merchant shrink update materials (newsletter, AP4Me, playbook/hotsheet)
Analyzes data to identify issues, root causes, and trends contributing to margin erosion
Analyze data and identifying trends to partner with the SSC / field subject matter experts to take appropriate actions in facilitating training and change management to address key behavioral shifts to accomplish desired outcomes
Recognizes enterprise and industry wide trends and work collaboratively with cross functional groups to develop and implement solutions across entire organization
Escalates issues to the Director of Merchandise Shrink as needed
Performs annual summary and analysis of shrink categories for executive leadership
Maintains an ongoing catalog of product protection resources and guidelines
Keeps active records of product protection solutions that have been tested, with QA statistics summarized
Will work with vendors on cost reductions of implemented solutions while attempting to find alternative means of mitigation tactics
Lead efforts to gather data from AP Connect regarding product protection opportunities
Report out updates on product protection analysis post deployment
Collaborates with key stakeholders in the corporate office and cross-functional teams throughout the organization to ensure alignment of shrink reduction programs
EAS analysis of reporting and data to develop trends and action plans
Assist in researching, diagnosing, and correcting IT (systemic) shrink related issues
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Retail Loss Prevention Merchandising Finance Analytics / Statistics Project Managment
5 years working in related Loss Prevention experience in stores or corporate setting
5 years multi-store big box retail experience
Demonstrated experience analyzing and using varied sources of data to understand underlying drivers of complex problems
Experience working closely with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an omni-channel retail environment
Demonstrated experience analyzing business documents (P&L, exception reports, etc.)
Experience conducting quality reviews/audits
Experience in using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS, etc.)
DART, Teradata and SQL experience (Big Data)
LPC - Licensed Prof Counselor LPC/LPQ qualification
Completion of a certified training program (Wicklander-Zulawski or Reed training)
