We are currently offering a great opportunity for an experienced Merchandise Manager to join our team in Benalla. This critical role in the merchandise team requires you to be able to build long lasting partnerships with customers and deliver appropriate advice and services using your specialist knowledge of a variety of agricultural products and supplies.
About the opportunity:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and growing an existing base of customers in the Benalla and surrounding regions across the rural segment, together with driving new business.
Our customer base is broad, and the focus of your role is to provide a memorable experience for all customers both on farm and in store. In addition, you will:
• Provide knowledge and support to both existing and new customers.
• Processing sales order administration, stock control, preparing orders for delivery, store merchandising and branch transfers.
• Provide customer service and be the primary contact for key clients regarding product pricing, logistic organisation and product availability.
• Provide a proactive solution-based approach to resolving customer issues.
• Create ongoing relationships with new and existing clients
About You:
• Previous success in a similar sales or business development role.
• The ability to develop solid and long-term customer relationships.
• Efficient customer service skills.
• You prefer to adopt a structured approach to your sales activity.
• Gain satisfaction from converting prospects into new business.
