Our client is searching for a Merchandise Coordinator to be based at their Durban offices This person will handle everything from order stage to dispatch including ordering of trims drawing up cutting order and liaising with designer
Duties & Responsibilities
Follow up on rating/cmt/ samples for costing
Costing of all new orders and enquiries
Transfer all confirmed orders onto sales tracker
Chase and follow up on purchase orders for all confirmed orders and upon receipt ensuring that price/colour/quantity and delivery are as per confirmation
Liaising with production and monitoring timeous handovers of QA seals
From complete costings make production cards and shipping cards and maintain changes to shipping dates and deliveries
Follow up of indents from various fabric agents
Chase and follow up with various mills on strike offs and lab dips
Upon receipt of lab dips and strike offs prepare and sent to customer for approval
Chase customer for approval of these
Receiving of all off bulk sampling send for wash testing and buyers approval
Confirming shipment once these have been approved and maintain shipping timelines
Maintain accurate information on production/planning/ shipping cards
Printing/ checking and filing of all revised purchase orders and notifying merchandiser of any changes to these
Handover seals together with file to production
Preparing of all trim tech packs and couriering to various trim suppliers
Ordering of all local and import trims and booking and airfreighting of all trims
Updating fabric/trim and sample room trackers with all approved information
Prep weekly sales meeting with senior management and merchandise teams
After Production
Recon file final rating update costing file
Production After Costing profitability and closing of file
Monthly Variance Analysis After costing
Admin done for finance director along with spreadsheets
Tracking of restyle fabric balances due to restyle
Requirements
Matric
4 to 5 years related experience
Must have experience in dealing with Retail Chain Stores
Must have local production experience
Salary Market related
