Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MEP Superintendent to oversee and manage all day-to-day MEP job site activities at a Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts. This role requires ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, effective management of trade partners, and maintaining a high level of communication and collaboration with the project team.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee and manage all day-to-day MEP job site activities, ensuring OSHA safety compliance and adherence to quality standards.
+ Direct field personnel according to the project plan and communicate issues, events, performance, and progress daily to the Project Manager.
+ Report any problems promptly to the Project Manager to facilitate cost-effective solutions.
+ Establish effective working relationships with clients and team members.
+ Request advice and assistance on materials, sequencing, scheduling, and personnel matters.
+ Identify pre-mobilization activities in conjunction with the Project Executive and Project Manager.
+ Develop and maintain the Project Baseline Schedule, updating it monthly and providing progress reports with a two-week look-ahead to the Project Manager and field staff.
+ Ensure all subcontractors participate in a safety pre-construction meeting before starting work on the project.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience as an MEP Superintendent with a focus on Electrical.
+ Project management and construction management skills.
+ Experience in commercial construction, electrical installation, and switchgear replacement.
+ Proficiency with scheduling, communication with subcontractors, and handling RFIs, change orders, and submittals.
+ OSHA Certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working on electrical upgrades with medium voltage switch gear (4000 amp).
+ Experience with commercial and infrastructure projects.
+ Familiarity with P6 or Microsoft Projects is preferred.
+ Open to candidates with 10-20 years of experience.
+ Must complete two references prior to submission.
Work Environment
The work is primarily on-site at the Convention Center, Monday through Friday. The role involves close collaboration with a senior MEP superintendent on-site handling air handling systems. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $115.00/hr.
