MEP Project Lead – Data Centres – Sweden

 

 

We are currently partnering with an international construction company with operations in Ireland, Germany and Sweden. Their impressive and ever-growing portfolio includes commercial, fit-out, data centres, biopharma, industrial warehousing, retail, residential, healthcare, conservation and education projects. Due to their continued growth, they are actively seeking an experienced MEP Project Lead to join their team in Sweden.

 

Responsibilities

 

Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement a detailed MEP project plan, ensuring the integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems with other construction disciplines. This includes coordinating schedules, resources, and activities to ensure timely completion of the MEP scope. Design Review and Value Engineering: Review MEP designs to ensure they align with the project requirements, budget, and operational needs. Work with the design team and stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings or performance improvements through value engineering without compromising quality or safety. Contractor and Vendor Management: Manage the selection, procurement, and coordination of MEP contractors and vendors, ensuring they meet technical specifications, deadlines, and quality standards. Monitor contractor performance, manage relationships, and resolve any issues that arise during the project. Budget and Cost Control: Oversee the MEP portion of the project budget, including cost estimation, tracking, and managing any changes or variations. Ensure that MEP work is completed within budget while maintaining the required quality and scope of work. Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Identify potential risks related to the MEP systems, including delays, design conflicts, or technical challenges. Implement mitigation strategies and promptly address issues to avoid delays or cost overruns, maintaining the project timeline. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Serve as the primary point of contact for all MEP-related communications with the client, contractors, and other project stakeholders. Provide regular progress reports, update project timelines, and ensure that all MEP-related issues are communicated and addressed effectively.

 

Requirements

 

3rd Level qualification in a related field 5 years post qualification experience in similar role Experience working on a hyperscale Data Centre

 

Benefits

 

€115,000 - €120,000 per annum + Full Rotational Package + Flexible rotation
