We are partnered with a leading engineering & construction contractor with a reputation for delivering world-class projects across a diverse range of industries dedicated to ensuring quality, safety, and sustainability. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced MEP Construction Manager. As MEP Construction Manager you will lead and manage the installation and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems ensuring that they are installed to the highest safety standards, quality, and efficiency while meeting project deadlines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Support the Project Manager in managing the MEP projects, from planning and installation to commissioning and final handover ensuring MEP systems are installed according to the project timeline and specifications.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, general contractors, and other construction team members to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems into the overall project.
Oversee MEP subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project specifications, schedules, and safety standards.
Review and approve subcontractor work, managing performance and quality control including monitoring project milestones and reporting progress to senior management.
Ensure that all MEP systems are installed to the highest standards and meet all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Promote and enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations throughout the MEP installation process ensuring that all work complies with local regulations, standards, and environmental guidelines.
Develop and maintain detailed MEP construction schedules, coordinating activities to avoid delays and ensure timely completion.
Oversee the commissioning of all MEP systems, ensuring they are tested, operational, and meet performance requirements before final handover.
Identify potential issues or risks in MEP installations and implement proactive solutions providing technical expertise to resolve construction challenges and unforeseen complications.
Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
4+ experience in MEP construction management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
Extensive knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire protection with familiarity in building codes, industry standards, and best practices.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a multidisciplinary team.
Effective communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and provide innovative solutions during project execution.
