Description/Qualifications
General Description:
The Mental Health Therapist provides individual, family, and group therapy to children, adults, and families. They may also provide case management and consultation with PCPs, schools, ODHS Child Welfare and Self Sufficiency programs, and other community partners. Clients are self-referred or referred through partnerships with local schools, primary care physicians, hospitals, or ODHS Child Welfare or Self Sufficiency. Options accepts both commercial insurance and Oregon Health Plan.
Required Qualifications:
+ Master's or doctorate degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
+ Must qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) in Oregon.
+ Experience in mental health services for children, families, and/or adults.
+ Computer proficiency required.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Familiarity with trauma's impact and systemic approaches.
+ Experience in treating serious mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders.
+ Proficiency in evidence-based practices and feedback-informed treatment.
+ Previous use of record-keeping software preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
65% Direct Client Services
+ Conduct client interviews for assessment purposes.
+ Perform mental health assessments, including DSM-V diagnosis, for both children and adults.
+ Deliver therapy and case management services in-office or via telehealth.
25% Documentation
+ Maintain accurate client records, including timely Service Plans and service notes in the electronic client record.
+ Coordinate services from various agencies, advocating for client needs and obtaining entitlements.
+ Collaborate with psychiatrists and psychiatric nurses to ensure coordinated treatment.
10% Other Duties
+ Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings.
+ Stay updated on relevant research and evidence-based practices.
+ Report suspected child abuse and neglect, ensuring client confidentiality is maintained.
Working Conditions:
+ Extended periods of sitting or standing, phone work, and therapy sessions
+ Mobility and dexterity required to assist clients and handle job functions.
+ Ability to manage clients exhibiting challenging behaviors.
Salary
+ Unlicensed:
+ $58,400 - $81,760/yr.
+ Licensed:
+ $64,200 - $89,880/yr.
