A Brief Overview:
As a Mental Health Assessment Specialist I, you will serve as an integral member of our Behavioral Health Services team, conducting assessments and evaluations of patients' mental health conditions. You will work closely with clinicians, patients, and families to provide critical insights and recommendations for treatment and care.

Required Education, Skills and/or Experience:
Master’s Degree or a higher in a behavioral health fieldA high level of communication skills is required in order interact effectively with others in very difficult situationsKnowledge of DSM5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) diagnostic criteria, ICD10 and interqual standardsA minimum of one year of previous assessment experiencePreferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience in crisis/emergency services, behavioral health settingKnowledge of patient rights and law pertaining to mental healthRequired License/Certificate:
Current State of Illinois e.g. Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor)LPC, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Profession Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family TherapistCurrent State of Illinois driver’s license required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an alternate location.
