About the job:

The Membership and Retention Specialist responds to complex member inquiries, resolving issues and complaints, and engaging in activities to promote member enrollment with Mount Carmel Health Plan's (MCHP's) Medicare Advantage insurance products (HMOs/PPOs).

What you'll do:

Relationship-based Care: Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care throughout their experience at Mount Carmel following the principles of our interdisciplinary care delivery system.Complies with internal policies, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI), NCQA and all applicable Federal regulations.Conducts telephonic sales activities within the scope of licensure and regulatory requirements while consistently and accurately documenting such sales activities/inquiries within the designated software.Review sales calls for sales audit purposes.Proactively outreaches to members deploying retention efforts. The ability to initiate recovery actions in difficult situations required.Acts as liaison for members, prospects and plan representatives. Demonstrates positive role modeling and promotes brand awarenessAll other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:

Education: Minimum of high school education. Bachelor's Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience: Two (2) years of customer service experience. Experience and knowledge of governmental agencies and regulations, especially Medicare and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) desired.Effective Communication Skills; sales, retention and strategic thinking.Demonstrated knowledge and effective organizing multi-tasks, in a high volume, fast-paced team environment with the ability to incent sales of insurance products.PC proficient including word-processing, data entry, Microsoft office and various software.
