Medical Technician Customer Support - Remote

The Technician/Technologist Customer Service Rep will be responsible for communicating with our Hospital clientele, answering incoming calls, providing requested information, researching and resolving problems, finding sources for send-out testing, working with minor interface issues, and working closely with other departments in the laboratory.  Prior technical laboratory experience strongly preferred and must be available to rotate weekends/holidays and evenings/nights as required. This remote/work from home position requires residence in the Phoenix, AZ area upon start date.

Work location: 5005 S. 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85040
 

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday (8am to 5pm CST)

Requirements:

Requires an Associate Degree in Medial Lab Technology sciencePrior experience as an MLT strongly preferredKnowledge of medical terminology used in a clinical setting strongly preferredExperience working in a contact center/call center environment is preferredPrior healthcare industry, such as a physician's office or a hospital highly is a plusKnowledge of Microsoft Office suite is requiredExperience with Laboratory Information Systems is preferredStrong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respondMust be courteous with strong customer service orientationExcellent multitasking abilities requiredStrong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly

Work From Home Requirements:

Home office space must be a dedicated room that isn’t shared and meets HIPAA compliance.Must agree to have your home address added to reports of cases you analyze or report.  This is a CMS requirementProvide wired internet at a minimum speed of 100 mb/secAbility to work remotely effectively as required in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands

Salary Range: $30.00 - 32.00 / per hour
