Job DetailsThe Medical Strategist is responsible for supporting the medical team and collaborating with the broader content creation team in the development of promotional communication materials for payer audiences. The Medical Strategist researches specific therapeutic areas for relevant disease state, market landscape, and clinical trial information in order to create impactful product messaging and data visualization for a variety of print and digital communications (visual aids, slide decks, web content, monographs, and journal advertisements). Throughout project development, the Medical Strategist will be responsible for ensuring the quality of written content and format, as well as liaising effectively with both internal teams and clients.Responsibilities:Develop scientific knowledge base for assigned therapeutic areas and specific productsTranslate complex scientific, medical, and health economic concepts and data for the intended payer audience, as well as for agency and client-side colleagues Conduct in-depth literature research and interpret data from clinical study reports and medical and scientific publicationsDetermine the adequacy of references to support scientific claims and provide accurate reference citations in written material; curate and package references for editorial review and client submissionsStay up to date on scientific developments and develop a strategic point of view on the implications within the assigned therapeutic categoryAttend advisory boards and participate in market research; effectively synthesize and summarize findings and implications for market access strategyAttend medical conferences, prioritizing the schedule of symposia/sessions, to learn about new scientific developments, gather competitive intelligence, and report findings to internal and client teamsEffectively interface with clients using scientific expertise and professionalism Job Qualifications:PhD, PharmD, MD, or other advanced science degree is preferred (others with exceptional background experience may be consideredExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability for critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem solvingAbility to build strong relationships with client and agency team members; productive team playerComputer proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)#LI-Hybrid #LI-SN1
