Medical Staff Quality Coordinator RN

The Medical Staff Quality Coordinator is responsible for identifying opportunities for quality and safety improvements via chart reviews, incident reports, Service and Peer Review Committee activities and referrals from other healthcare providers. This role supports the Medical and Dental Staff and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Committees relative to peer review and performance improvement activities.
Supports the Medical and Dental Staff Peer Review Committees.
Identifies, selects, and screens medical records per departmental protocol for quality of care issues.
Collects, trends, and analyzes data to be utilized in the credentialing process (reappointments and privileging) for Medical and Dental Staff members as well as APP staff.
Acts as a liaison to designated Chiefs of Service and supports Service Committees.
Collaborates with Risk Management and leaders in other hospital departments related to quality, safety, and quality of care issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:Required: Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE:Required: 5 years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required: RN | Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a Compact state
