Job Requisition: REQ3140 Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Days Hours Per Week: 40 hours
Hiring Range: $17.34- $22.54
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
+ Assists physician or licensed practitioner with real-time documentation in the patient’s medical record and/or electronic health records system to reflect the care, treatment and services provided to the patient.
+ Accompanies provider during patient examinations for provider dictation.
+ Documentation can include but not limited to physical examination/procedure findings and treatment, patient/family history to include history of present illnesses, medications, test results, patient education of risk/benefits, communications pertaining to patient care, and other notes dictated by provider.
+ Performs chart preparation for upcoming patient appointments.
+ Acts as an assistant to the provider and may perform other administrative duties as needed to assist physician, or licensed practitioner. Must comply with Joint Commission and hospital guidelines pertaining to Medical Scribe documentation and maintain confidently and privacy in accordance with governing HIPPA regulations.
Education, Training & Experience:
+ High school diploma/GED required. Completion of a medical terminology course, or one (1) year of medical terminology experience in a clinical setting required.
Prior healthcare experience required. Must possess above average typing skills and ability to use information systems.
