Position Purpose:

Join our Bariatric Surgery team as a Business Services Representative and be an essential part of a supportive, patient-centered experience! In this vital front-office role, you’ll be the first welcoming face and voice for patients taking an important step toward better health. You’ll handle key administrative responsibilities, including scheduling consultations and follow-up appointments, registering patients, verifying insurance coverage, and collecting copays and payments at the time of service. Your attention to detail will shine as you manage pre-certifications, prior authorizations, and referrals, ensuring patients have a smooth and stress-free experience throughout their surgical process. You’ll also assist with chart preparation and manage incoming and outgoing communications to keep our office running efficiently. Your empathy, professionalism, and dedication will help support and encourage patients as they work toward achieving their health goals.
What you will do:
Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols in order to maximize provider productivity.Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalentExperience within a medical office or billing department preferred. Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferredExcellent keyboard skills. Requires proficiency in a Windows based computer environment and Microsoft Office products. Accuracy and dependability required.Position Highlights and Benefits:
