Medical Office Associate- Per Diem, Call Center Is the first point of contact with callers to the patient/facility/group. Answers/receives all incoming telephone calls and assists patients and staff with scheduling appointments. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Answers incoming calls and schedules the appointments or routes them to the appropriate department. 2. Takes appropriate action for each call. 3. Accurately registers patients and schedules appointments following established schedule templates. 4. Manages large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner. 5. Follows call center “scripts” when handling different topics. 6. Resolves problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems. 7. Maintains proper record of all interactions with customers on the call center database. 8. Serves as a central link of communication between patients, medical staff and the general public. 9. Operates computer and IT equipment such as switchboards, headset etc. 10. Keeps equipment operational by following established procedures; reporting malfunctions. Required: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: Bilungual Spanish 3 years in call center environment, specifically healthcare
