Medical Impact Lead (Remote) (Multiple Therapeutic areas/Multiple positions)

The Medical Impact Lead is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of robust impact measures across CDMA. This role will serve as a liaison between the TA and A&I to translate the needs of the business to the data scientists and drive a data driven approach to key decision making within the TA. This includes, but is not limited to, patient outcomes as defined by OptiMA, KPIs aligned to ICPs and other strategic plans, 3rd party data across MA platforms (websites, digital channels, etc.), Med Comm Impact, Congress Impact, Publication Impact, Med Ed Impact, voice of customer (VOC) measures, Clinical Adoption Ladder, TPOs, and field quality metrics. Therapeutic areas include Cardio-Renal Metabolic, Mental Health, Oncology, Immunology and Retinal Health, Respiratory, and Medical Excellence. The Medical Impact Lead will serve to build data literacy and capabilities directly within the TAs and, more broadly, CDMA. Additionally, this role is responsible for the development and maintenance of a proper feedback loop so that data informs strategic decisions and tactical actions, and the impact of those CDMA actions are quantified. The incumbent will work cross-functionally and globally to ensure an aligned impact measurement strategy. **Duties & Responsibilities** + Operationalizes OptiMA and coordinates routine assessment, evolution, and maintenance for all TAs by leveraging appropriate internal resources. + Serves as KPI/measurement consultant to CDMA TAs. + In partnership with A&I and HP Services, provides oversight, and maintains consistency in KPI discussions with local and global stakeholders. This includes Medical Affairs activity/impact measures for all available channels. This also includes digital channels, Medical Education, Grants, Publications, Omnichannel/CLM, Contact Center, and organized customer. + Champions a data driven mindset and offers data supported solutions to complex problems. + Serves as KPI/measurement consultant to MedX pillars. + Orchestrates creation and maintenance of data visualizations and/or dashboards to routinely assess agreed upon measures including OptiMA, 3rd party data, MedX related activity/impact, field activity/impact, Clinical Adoption Ladder, VOC, etc. + Leads partner with GMA and HP Services on evaluation of HCS partnerships and TPO initiatives. **Requirements** + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and three (5) years of experience in the Pharma Industry; Master's Degree and/or experience in Medical Affairs impact measurement preferred. + Must have minimum two (2) years of experience in medical affairs. + Strong oral/written communications to broad, disparate audiences. + Strong job knowledge in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, field medical and the US Compliance landscape. + Understanding and experience in technology platforms and systems. + Understanding and experience in digital delivery of information and/or engagement based on customer preference. + Ability to network outside of the organization to discover new ideas and new ways of bringing value to Boehringer. + Requires a deep understanding of the MSL and AMA roles, the relationship between field medical and internal/external partners, emerging technology supportive of the field medical function and the dynamics of field medical within the current pharmaceutical regulatory environment. + Prior experience working in/across multiple functions. + Proven track record of teamwork, leadership, timely decision making and results orientation in meeting business objectives. + Leadership and project management competencies. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral). + Demonstrated success in large-scale cross-functional initiatives. + Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization. + Demonstrates acceptable level of performance for Leadership and AAI competencies. + Ability to understand the competitive environment and translate opportunities into business actions. + This position may be field based and will require travel of upwards of 20%. **Eligibility Requirements** : + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. + Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required). + Must be 18 years of age or older. **Compensation** This position offers a base salary typically between $170,000 and $269,000.  The position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance-based bonus and or other compensation elements.  For an overview of our benefits please click here.
