The PositionYou will be part of the Medical Department, reporting directly to the Therapeutic Area Lead of Neuroscience and Rare Diseases, your mission as Medical Expert is to drive clinical practice, generate new knowledge through research, and promote medical education for patient benefit. This involves identifying relevant medical needs and supporting the optimal use of Roche products and solutions.
Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Scientific Strategy Leadership:
Lead and align the local medical strategy with the global one for the product and therapeutic area.
Oversee communication regarding medical issues with Global Medical Affairs and other international groups.
Anticipate needs related to Personalized Medicine.
Manage the local publication strategy and digital scientific communication.
2. R&D Leadership:
Identify local evidence gaps and develop strategies to address them.
Participate in the global Integrated Evidence Plan.
Interface with scientific societies for R&D projects and align with global/local strategies.
Oversee local studies through all phases in collaboration with PDG and Local Evidence Generation.
3. Medical Expertise and Customer Insights:
Collect and analyze scientific insights from various stakeholders, including patients.
Conduct advisory meetings with TAEs and integrate their input into the local strategy.
Train/update Field roles and others to ensure a scientific approach.
Serve as the therapeutic area expert and support product lifecycle activities.
Respond to internal and external medical-scientific inquiries.
Participate in national/international scientific meetings.
Maintain relationships with key TAEs and ensure product access in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Establish scientific collaborations with National Medical Societies and Patient Associations.
Who You Are:
Bachelor's degree in health sciences is required. Bachelor's degree in medicine with a specialization is preferred.
Ideally, candidates should have previous experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry within the medical department and/or prior experience as a clinical doctor.
Experience in Neurology or Psychiatry will be highly valued.
Research experience is desirable, including experience with scientific publications.
Experience in the Medical Department is highly valued. Positions such as MSL and/or PJP (in-field positions) will be highly valued.
High proficiency in English and Spanish.
Knowledge in clinical trial design, implementation, and monitoring.
Experience in managing TAEs and establishing/maintaining collaborations with external organizations.
Your residence location is in Madrid.
