We are looking for a Medical Domain UX Designer to join our growing team in Indianola, PA (onsite).
Key Responsibilities:
User Research & Analysis:
Conduct user research with clinicians, healthcare providers, and patients to understand their needs. Analyze workflows for electronic health records (EHR), medical imaging systems, and diagnostic devices. Apply human factors engineering (HFE) and usability testing per regulatory standards.
Design & Prototyping:
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for medical software and devices. Ensure compliance with FDA, IEC 62366 (Usability Engineering), HIPAA, and other medical UI/UX standards. Develop UI components that support accessibility (WCAG), responsiveness, and multi-device compatibility. Work closely with product teams, developers, and regulatory specialists to align designs with medical guidelines.
Usability Testing & Validation: Conduct usability studies and gather feedback from healthcare professionals and patients. Iterate designs based on human factors validation and cognitive load analysis. Maintain design consistency while optimizing task efficiency and error prevention.
Requirements:
Must-Have:
3-7 years of UI/UX experience, with at least 2 years in healthcare/medical domain. Strong portfolio showcasing medical software, healthcare apps, or medical device UI designs. Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Axure, or similar design tools. Knowledge of usability standards (IEC 62366, FDA Human Factors, ISO 14971, HIPAA, WCAG). Understanding of clinical workflows, patient journey mapping, and EMR/EHR interfaces. Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have:
Familiarity with AI-driven healthcare applications, medical robotics, or telehealth platforms. Experience with design systems for medical devices or FDA Class II/III products. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end frameworks to collaborate with developers. Background in cognitive psychology or human factors engineering.
