JOB SUMMARY
The Security Health Plan (SHP) Medical Director will be a licensed physician who reports to the Chief Medical Officer. This individual has responsibility for clinical input to medical policy, quality programs and population health programs including utilization management and assists the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in acting in a consulting capacity to other parts of the organization as directed by the CMO.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Licensed MD or DO (WI license is not a requirement) who has 1-2 years managed care experience with an Accountable Care Organization or a Health Plan.
Preferred/Optional: CPE, MBA
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: One year of managed care experience. Must be able to create presentations and present to both internal and external stakeholders on a variety of topics related to his/her scope of work at the health plan.
Preferred/Optional: Demonstrated organization leadership roles.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
