Visionary: Develop an aspirational vision for Indonesia by understanding internal and external environments, translating it into prioritized outcomes for the Medical Chapter, and instilling a bold, shared vision.
Architect: Empower teams to self-organize, prioritize, and make impactful
decisions. Shift the focus from short-term tactics to deeper, patient-centered
solutions for the healthcare system.
Coach: Support every team member in building the skills and mindsets needed to thrive in an empowered system. Act as both a coach and a learner.
Catalyst: Encourage clarity, focus, and connection across the Medical Chapter, Roche Indonesia, and the global network. Foster innovation and bold decision-making.
As the CMD, lead scientific, medical, and clinical excellence through strategic
leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and engagement with the scientific and healthcare communities. The goal is to drive the adoption of transformative medicines as standard care, ensuring compliance, superior patient outcomes, and a high-performance culture. The CMD represents Roche’s Chief Medical Officer at the affiliate level and contributes as part of the affiliate leadership team.
Your Opportunity:
Contribute to the affiliate strategy and prioritize resources to achieve short, mid, and long-term business outcomes.
Build competitive medical strategies emphasizing evidence generation, value
demonstration, and scientific communication.
Represent Roche and its scientific portfolio among external stakeholders,
including policymakers, patient advocates, and other industry players.
Establish rigorous scientific standards across therapeutic areas and align
medical efforts with country-specific opportunities and challenges.
Accelerate advocacy, community engagement, and access to Roche’s portfolio through cross-country scientific activities.
Inform and shape global strategies by integrating local insights and facilitating timely execution of evidence plans.
License to Operate (LTO) Champion
Ensure medical compliance and act as the local delegate of Roche’s Pharma
CMO.
Integrate local affiliate functions—clinical operations, regulatory, safety, and
quality—into a cohesive framework.
Conduct risk assessments and manage issues through cross-functional
collaboration.
Ensure compliance in all promotional and non-promotional materials, medical grants, and sponsorships.
Maintain high standards in the development and deployment of Digital Health solutions while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Evidence Generation
Empower the Medical Chapter to identify and execute evidence-generation
opportunities.
Oversee the development of affiliate studies, health technology assessments, and other data-generation initiatives.
Ensure clinical trial conduct adheres to Roche policies and global transparency requirements.
Build effective collaborations with external stakeholders to enhance medical
strategies and patient access.
Scientific Communications (SC) and Medical Information
Facilitate the development and dissemination of accurate, impactful medical and product information.
Provide robust scientific communication in alignment with customer needs and local regulations.
Compliance and Training
Establish and maintain a quality management system for the Medical Chapter.
Ensure adherence to Roche SOPs and local regulations in all medical activities.
Oversee team training, promotional material review, and inspection-readiness for regulatory audits.
Maintain the highest safety standards for clinical activities and drug safety.
Who You Are:
Profound experience in Medical Affairs (7–10+ years) with knowledge of drug development, commercialization, and compliance.
Proven track record of leadership and successful team management.
Substantial clinical practice and research experience (if MD).
Expertise in digital health and integrated evidence generation.
Strong experience in external stakeholder collaboration, medical education, and strategy development.
University degree in Medicine (MD).
Master’s degree or advanced education is an advantage.
