This opportunity is-

LOCATION:  Hilo, Hawaii

Status: Full-Time

Onsite- Opportunity

Days: Monday - Friday

HOURS:  1st Shift TBD

Base Hourly Pay: $22.92 to to $25.22

In this role, you will-

Under direct supervision and in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and guidelines, this position:

The DX Coding Specialists code medical/laboratory requisitions with diagnoses and/or procedures ICD-9 coding in accordance with ICD-9 coding practices

Investigate and obtain missing diagnoses and/or procedure data Assists and/or trains others in coding practices as necessary
.Adheres to confidentiality, safety, compliance, and legal requirements
. Maintains consistent and reliable attendance and complies with company guidelinesPerforms other duties as assigned

All you need is:

High School diploma or GEDTyping (min 35 wpm) and 10 Key.  MUST be able to demonstrate proficiency.Medical coding (ICD-9) knowledge required. Medical procedure coding (CPT, HCPC) knowledge preferredUnderstanding of CMS (Medicare) medical necessity policies preferredMedical coding certification preferredPrior experience in a medical billing office is preferredFor hospital settings, additional requirements may apply and change without notice,including but not limited to, criminal background check, health clearance and hospital compliance trainingSuccessfully pass Company pre-employment drug test and periodic and random thereafterDemonstrated and proven ability/experience in accomplishments in all of our five core

Minimum of six (6) months of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and educationExperience with medical/insurance billing and Customer ServiceExperience in a multitasking environment
