As a Full-Cycle Medical Biller, you will be responsible for the entire medical billing process, including patient billing, claims processing, payment posting, and managing accounts receivable. This role is crucial to the financial operations of the organization and requires a strong understanding of healthcare billing practices, coding, and insurance procedures. Key Responsibilities + Process and submit healthcare claims to insurance carriers accurately and in a timely manner. + Review patient billing and account information for completeness and accuracy. + Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely follow-up on unpaid claims and denials. + Identify and resolve issues related to claim discrepancies, insurance denials, and payment errors. + Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits. + Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to facilitate billing processes. + Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies. Requirements + Minimum 2 years of experience in the healthcare industry working as a medical biller or in a similar role. + Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Cerner or Epic (preferred). + Strong understanding of insurance policies, healthcare claims processes, and coding practices (CPT and ICD codes). + CPB (Certified Professional Biller) or CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification is a plus. + Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, insurers, and team members.
