Medical Assistant - Urgent Care

The Urgent Care department is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. The role is responsible for assisting providers and managers clinical functions in the department in our FAST PACED Urgent Care. Candidates with medical office experience is required.

 Certified MA, Lab skills, medical terminology, scheduling experience, IV certification required, and great customer service a must.

Keys to Success in this Role:

Attention to Details Complete the start of day processes Properly room patients Assist provider during examinations, procedures, and with treatment Perform diagnostic studies and treatments  Clean and sterilize instruments and medical equipment Process medication requests Handle patient calls Organize and maintain sample and supply closets Perform incidental duties as needed EHR Excellent People skills

Physical and Mental Demands:

 

Physical requirements Able to stand or walk for long periods Use of proper body mechanics Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making High level verbal and written communication skills Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously 

Occupational Exposure:

 

High risk exposure to blood borne pathogens and chemical hazards

Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent Completion and certification of a Medical Assistant program REQUIRED Strong team player Strong customer service orientation Basic computer proficiency Experience in a medical office  Insurance knowledge Comfortable working with children Must be willing to travel between multiple offices as needed MINIMUM 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
