This is a Full Time opportunity within a busy Internal Medicine office in Land O' Lakes.  Typical schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. This role is responsible for assisting providers and managing clinic functions within the department.  Experience in a similar role preferred.  Must be organized, good team player, and possess superior customer service skills, and have  1 year of Medical Assistant experience.

Keys to Success in this Role:

Complete the start of day processes Properly room patients Assist provider during examinations, procedures, and with treatment Perform diagnostic studies and treatments  Process medication requests Handle patient calls Organize and maintain sample and supply closets Perform incidental duties as needed

Job Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent Completion of a Medical Assistant program/Medical Assistant  Diploma required Strong team player Strong customer service orientation Basic computer proficiency Must be able to perform laboratory services Medical Office experience is highly preferred Minimum 1 year MA experience

Physical and Mental Demands:

 

Physical requirements Able to stand or walk for long periods Use of proper body mechanics Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making High level verbal and written communication skills Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously 

Occupational Exposure:

 

High risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
