SECTION I:
Basic Function:
+ Maintain a well-organized and stocked patient care unit.
+ Assist nursing staff with clerical and technical support.
+ Develop intra/interdepartmental relationships.
+ Perform specimen collection, basic lab testing, and prepare patients for providers.
+ Provide clerical support including reception, registration, scheduling, billing, and maintaining medical records.
SECTION II:
Education & Experience:
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Prior experience in a hospital or physician practice preferred.
+ Graduate from a Medical Assistant program with current MA certification or registry.
SECTION III: Guiding Behaviors

SECTION IV: Physical Requirements
+ Push/pull 25 lbs., lift/move 15 lbs.
+ Perform manual tasks like typing and filing.
+ Stationary and mobile for extended periods.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
Clinical Duties:
+ Collect and identify lab specimens.
+ Perform basic lab testing and document quality control.
+ Conduct technical skills for patient care (e.g., blood glucose monitoring, EKGs, CPR).
+ Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients.
Operational Duties:
+ Coordinate and maintain supplies and equipment.
+ Conduct office protocols and procedures.
+ Participate in clerical duties and healthcare center objectives.
+ Perform EMR duties and utilize EMG Metrics tools.
+ Adhere to safety protocols and hospital policies.
Team and Communication:
+ Work with intra/interdepartmental team for smooth patient care.
+ Provide customer-friendly reception and excellent customer service.
+ Participate in self-development and safety practices.

Salary Range: $ 17.46-25.32 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
