Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Back Office Medical Assistant for our Urgent Care Facility. The role involves checking in and checking out patients, taking vitals, logging information into the EMR/EHR system (NexGen), verifying insurance, and covering the front desk when the receptionist is away. This position requires a commitment to working 12-hour shifts, three days per week, including weekends.
ResponsibilitiesCheck in and check out patients.Take and record patient vitals.Log information into the EMR/EHR system (NexGen).Verify patient insurance.Cover the front desk during receptionist's lunch breaks.Assist with appointment scheduling.Perform back office and some front office responsibilities.Essential Skills1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.Experience with NexGen (EMR System).Proficiency in appointment scheduling and patient care.Ability to perform back office duties.Willingness to work 12-hour shifts as scheduled.Additional Skills & QualificationsBilingual in Spanish.Phlebotomy experience (nice to have but not required).Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) is a plus.Work Environment
The position is based in an Urgent Care facility within the Lakeside Community Healthcare network. You will be part of a team dedicated to providing quality healthcare to the community. The work hours are from 10:30 am to 11:00 pm, three days per week, including weekends. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
