JOB DESCRIPTION:
To provide clinical support services to Nursing Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Knowledge and demonstration of agency core values in day-to-day activities.
+ Ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
+ Demonstrates the ability to effectively use technology and appropriate use of support.
+ Providing compassionate patient support and care, attention, and assistance during office visits
+ Coordinating daily office activities, greeting individuals, and checking individuals in for their appointments
+ Gathering data and documenting information in EMR and reporting any concerns to nursing leadership
+ Obtaining and recording vital signs
+ Drawing blood as needed, when fully trained to do so.
+ Assist with managing medline calls, obtains necessary information for nursing staff to follow through clinically with the individuals needs
+ Maintains contact with individuals to assure outcome of medline request are completed
+ Maintains a central reference point for medline issues for updates/status changes
+ Obtaining prior authorizations
+ Obtains PMP documentation as needed for medication review
+ Looking up HealtheLink documents as requested
+ Performs clinical activities as assigned
+ Performs data/spreadsheet, faxing, scanning etc for information flow
+ Runs reports as requested by Nursing leadership
SKILLS:
+ Strong commitment to the right and ability of each person with a severe and persistent mental illness to live in normal community residences; work and have access to helpful adequate, competent, and continuous supports and services.
+ Must possess skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and respect for individual’s rights and personal preference in treatment are essential
+ Work effectively on multiple tasks concurrently
+ Present a strong professional image
+ Exercise exceptionally good judgment
+ Exceptional interpersonal skills, judgment, and decision-making skills
+ Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English
+ Proficient in the use of computer software such as MSWord, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
+ High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE:
+ 1 year preferred
+ Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record and possess a personal vehicle for job requirement.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATE:
+ Applicable Certification/Degree in Medical Assisting Preferred but not required
COMPENSATION: $17.46/hr - $22.26/hr
