Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description
Under the direction of the clinic supervisor, the medical assistant is responsible for receiving patients, preparing them to be seen by the provider, and assisting the provider as requested in the delivery of care. The medical assistant works with patients and is knowledgeable about the clinic’s patient education program, providing educational materials when appropriate. The medical assistant is also responsible for maintaining supplies and equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Receive and prepare patients for their appointments.
+ Assist providers during patient care delivery.
+ Provide patients with educational materials as part of the clinic's patient education program.
+ Maintain medical supplies and equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Medical assisting
+ Electronic health record management
+ Health care knowledge
+ Experience with EMR systems
+ Rooming patients
+ Providing patient care
+ Experience with Epic
+ Appointment scheduling
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 0+ years of experience with Medical Assistant Degree and Certification
+ OR 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience if not certified
+ Specialty experience may be required for certain clinics/providers
Work Environment
Medical assistants will work in medical clinics and hospitals. The position offers first shift openings, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with an hour variance on starting and end times. The role is full-time, and medical assistants may work at multiple clinics and hospitals throughout the Kenosha/Pleasant Prairie area.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.50
