Position Overview\n

The Media Planner is responsible for developing, executing and optimizing media (paid advertising) strategies to promote the company's products and brand. They will research, analyze, and track the effectiveness of campaigns, while recommending and implementing changes to maximize the return on investment for millions of dollars' worth of media on an annual basis. The Media Planner will also monitor industry trends and developments to ensure that the company's media plans are competitive in the market. The Media Planner will be accountable for delivering all knowledge on forms of paid media such as Television\/Video (Short form and long form across Linear, OTT, CTV, Ad Supported Streaming Services, FAST channels), Radio\/Audio (Local, Network, SXM, Podcasts, Streaming), Print-Magazines\/Newspapers, Catalog\/Direct Mail Prospecting, Printed & Digital Newsletters while collaborating on Paid Digital approach with internal marketing team and coordination with outside agencies for media buying execution on a recurring basis.\n

Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities\n\nDevelop and implement media plans that meet the company's objectives.\nOversee the day-to-day execution of media placement with support of outside agencies\nContinuously monitor and track effectiveness of company's campaigns.\nAnalyze and optimize campaign performance, share insights, and make recommendations for continuous improvement\nEvaluate brand and audience to determine best strategy to advertise to reach consumers in a positive, impactful way\nProviding ongoing actionable insights into campaign performance to relevant stakeholders\nMonitor industry trends and developments\nResearch target audiences and analyze media consumption habits\nMaintain knowledge of industry best practices and new techniques\nPrepare and present reports on media performance\nOversee and manage overall paid media budget and placement, as well as be the POC (point of contact) for accounting processes on advertising invoice approvals and month-end reconciliations\nWorking cross-departmentally to align campaign strategies and goals across the organization\nSupport in the development of strategic plans and annual budgeting and reforecasting processes\nNegotiate contracts with media outlets and other vendors\n\n

Additional Functions, Duties & Accountabilities\n\nServe as a member of a marketing team and support others as necessary.\nMaintain flexibility in work schedule to meet business needs.\nActively and positively contribute to the overall success of the company through regular contributions to the general management of the company.\nParticipate and provide leadership in inter-departmental meetings, projects, and informal activities.\nSupport the company and other departments wherever and whenever your skills and experience would be beneficial.\n\n

Requirements\n\nBachelor's degree in advertising, communications, marketing, business or a related field and\/or demonstrated experience and skillsets needed to perform in the role\n\n

Experience and Skills\n\nAt least 4+ years of experience in media planning or media buying\nExpert in media, demographics, and placement strategy\nStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nKnowledge of current industry trends and developments\nExcellent communication skills\nExcellent analytical and mathematical skills\nCommunicate regularly with management\n\n

Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\n\nProficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office and media-related software\nStrong understanding of CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) to LTV (Lifetime Value) methodologies and approaches\nPreferred experience with MTA (Multi Touch Attribution) and MMM (Marketing Mix Modeling)\n\n
