Media Operations Director
**Overview** Publicis Groupe Africa is a leader in media operations and technology innovation. The Media Operations/Delivery Lead will drive operational excellence across Africa, with a core focus on South Africa Operational Media business and building a robust and scalable African operations framework. This role requires strategic oversight combined with hands-on delivery management to align operations across the continent while ensuring world-class service delivery and client satisfaction. **Responsibilities** **Operational Leadership Across Africa** Collaborate with and become partner to the Media SVP – to work on optimisation and future planning of an effective Media Practice. + Lead the operations of the Media Practice across Africa, ensuring regional alignment with global standards and objectives + Develop and implement an operational strategy to address inefficiencies and improve delivery within the South Africa Media business. + Build and scale operational frameworks to support media operations across the continent, with a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality results. + Foster collaboration between regional teams to establish a unified and integrated approach to media delivery. **Optimising the South Africa Media Business** + Identify key operational challenges within the South Africa Media business and implement effective, long-term solutions. + Overhaul existing workflows, processes, and resource allocations to improve efficiency, client satisfaction, and team performance. + Support client-specific initiatives to elevate the Media business as a center of excellence for the region. + Oversee day-to-day delivery operations to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and client projects. **Building African Operations** + Establish a scalable operations model for Africa that caters to diverse regional needs while maintaining consistency and efficiency. + Create and roll out best operational practices across regional teams, ensuring alignment with global tools, processes, and workflows. + Build a strong operational foundation for future growth, enabling the seamless integration of new clients and markets. Drive cross-country collaboration to share resources, knowledge, and expertise for maximum operational impact. **Resource and Financial Planning** + Oversee resource planning across African markets to align with workload, project demands, and regional priorities. + Manage the SOW and SLA planning process, ensuring accurate scoping of deliverables and efficient allocation of resources. + Monitor budgets across African markets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve profitability margins. + Drive and optimize tools, platforms, and processes to support operational excellence and delivery efficiency. + Partner with technology leads to deploy solutions that streamline workflows and enable scalable operations across Africa. + Regularly review and refine operational procedures to address regional challenges and improve productivity. **Performance and Reporting** + Track and analyze performance across African markets using KPIs, ensuring delivery excellence and operational efficiency. + Provide actionable insights through data analysis, driving continuous improvement and better decision-making. + Ensure compliance with time tracking and reporting practices across the region. **Success Criteria** + **Regional Operational Excellence:** Streamlined and efficient operations across all African markets, with measurable improvements in delivery performance. + **Media Practice Optimisation:** Successful implementation of fixes and measurable improvements in client satisfaction and team performance. + **Scalable African Operations:** A strong, unified operational framework enabling growth and consistency across the continent. + **Performance and Accountability:** Delivery of high-quality results within timelines, budgets, and defined KPIs. + **Engagement and Collaboration:** High levels of collaboration across regional teams and stakeholders, with strong client relationships. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. **Experience** : + Minimum of +10 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the media, advertising, or communications industry. + Previously held a Managing Director role is an advantage + Proven track record of successfully managing complex operations and leading cross-functional teams. + Experience in financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
