This position is also responsible for monitoring and maintaining all social media including weekly student newsletter that keeps students up to date with events, potential internships and job opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities Primary Duties: Creating, processing and distributing weekly SFP student Newsletter Assist Director and staff with request for Internship and student opportunities Responsible for content management of all SFP social media (Instagram and Facebook) in accordance with the university’s social media policy and in coordination with University Communications’ social media manager. Maintaining and updating the SFP website in accordance with all relevant university policies and by using the University’s content management system on the montana.edu domain. Responsible for promotional photography for department that includes securing and cataloging appropriate photo permissions as well as ensuring no copyrighted images are posted on the school’s website or used by the school in any way that violates copyright. Work with University Communications on any external facing communications regarding the school and regularly attend the University Communications’ Associates meeting hosted by University Communications. Work with University Communications on the purchase of any branded merchandise for the school for any promotional purpose. Become familiar with all relevant university communications policies and institutional practices, including those related for First Amendment issues associated with university-curated social media sites.
Secondary Duties: Responsible for monitoring and replenishing student food pantry Help organize and attend SFP outreach events Attend and assist with The Paul Monaco Awards (end of each semester) Be available to assist when high/middle school classes visit SFP Assist with MSU Fridays Assist with the faculty/staff/student awards Help organize and assist retention events Spring and Fall · Assist with CAA\SFP Commencement Celebrations (end of each semester) Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Bachelor’s degree Experience with Adobe Suite, Canva, content management systems, Facebook, Instagram Ability to use Macintosh platform Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of Film and Photography industry Familiarity with higher education curriculums Familiarity with design skills Three years’ experience in social media content creation and professional writing The Successful Candidate Will The successful candidate will have the following abilities: Organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, effective, and professional approach This candidate will act on their own initiative and exercise good judgment under minimal supervision, both individually and as part of a team This candidate will communicate detailed information, both verbally and in writing, to a wide variety of individuals including employees, staff, faculty, students, and community members The candidate will establish and maintain effective working relations with coworkers, students, faculty, and community members.
