This position reports to

Senior Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

-To perform assigned engineering tasks, as a member of design team.-Ownership of named component(s)/sub-assembly.-To actively pursue to learn and to develop his/her own know-how, skills and competence.-To write technical reports according to given instructions and ABB guidelines.-Responsible for on-time delivery and engineering quality of his/her own work.-Do mechanical design work following the given instructions and general ABB standards and engineering principles.-Provide training regarding mechanical design.-To communicate (cooperate, raise issues, promote ideas etc.) within the teamand with other functions (production, sales, sourcing etc.).-Participation to making invention disclosure / patent materials.-To act as a responsible and supportive team player with high integrity.

Qualifications for the role

A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Energy, or a related field.Over three years of professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer.Strong technical expertise in the design and engineering of electrical machines, along with a fundamental understanding of manufacturing and quality control procedures.Comprehensive knowledge of materials and their manufacturing processes.Candidates with experience in cost reduction initiatives and sourcing activities will be given preference.Exceptional proficiency in both written and spoken English.Proficiency in Office applications, AutoCAD, SAP, 3D modeling software (such as I-DEAS), Finite Element Method (FEM) software, and Product Data Management (PDM) systems (such as Teamcenter).Excellent communication skills, with the ability to grasp complex concepts, think critically and factually, and maintain an open-minded approach.
