Job Summary As a Mechanics Helper, you will play a crucial role in assisting our mechanics in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles and equipment. Your technical skills and attention to detail will contribute to our team's overall success and ensure the smooth operation of our automotive repair facility. Mechanics Helper Responsibilities Assist mechanics in conducting thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical issues and determine the required repairs. Carry out routine maintenance tasks, such as changing oil, replacing filters, and lubricating components, under the guidance and supervision of mechanics. Assist with the repair and replacement of faulty parts, Help in disassembling and reassembling GSE components. Clean and organize work areas, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. Assist in organizing inventory of parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize accidents or injuries. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on equipment. Continuously update knowledge and skills related to new automotive technologies and repair techniques. Job Requirements Previous experience as a Mechanics Helper or in a similar role is preferred. Certification from a vocational school, technical institute, or automotive program. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of automotive systems and components. Proficiency in using various hand and power tools commonly used in automotive repair. Good time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently. Physical strength and stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of QHSE and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Basic computer skills to record and access maintenance data. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
