The Headlines:   
In the role of Mechanical Specialist 4-Cans working in Golden, CO, you will be a technical specialist for the assigned area of the Maintenance Department troubleshooting/problem resolution. The role acts as a technical trainer and liaison on Maintenance procedures, specifications and new or revised processes.

This position reports to the Equipment Specialist Maintenance Lead.

The Responsibilities: 

Provides analytical system troubleshooting to determine cause of breakdowns or problems in malfunctioning equipment and systems. Directs or makes required repairs to bring equipment back online under reliable operating conditions. Analyzes equipment failures and repairs and makes recommendations to prevent reoccurrences or enhances repairs for future similar situations. Actively participate and lead IDA's IPS's in support of BDE. Works independently or as part of a team, analyzes reasons for poor machine or process performance and recommends actions to improve the operation. Optimize Plant performance with innovations in Asset Care. Assist in the planning scheduling of day to day and long-term goals. Supports customer needs and builds strong team dynamics. Lead by example. Must be able present positive attitude and encourage team interaction. Works to be familiar with safety policies and take proper steps to eliminate all safety hazards. Works with Leadership to help determine spare parts requirements. Optimize parts inventory, identify and implement cost reductions. Provides technical direction when required, which will not include discipline, timecards, evaluations or one-on-ones. Special assignments and projects as required by management. 

The Other Qualifications: 

Minimum of 2 years maintenance background. Must have the necessary experience, aptitude, and education to perform mechanical duties such as set-up, adjustments, troubleshooting, PM activities, overhaul and make equipment improvements when necessary. Must possess basic math skills and verbal and written English language skills, and organizational skills. Must be eager and willing to learn new skills and processes and take direction from 53 Mechanic. It is desirable that the incumbent be motivated to obtain needed training and certification needed to perform these tasks, such as welding certification and electrical apprenticeship. High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree or vocational education preferred. You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities. You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome.   You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments.   You have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow.   You exhibit our core values.
