Mechanical Shift Technician
Salary: £42,357 - £44,275 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Various shifts
Location: Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LE
G4S Facilities Management are recruiting a Mechanical Shift Technician on a full-time, permanent basis based in Oxford.
We are looking for a talented individual who is agile and has excellent communication skills. The role involves carrying out mechanical activities in support of project delivery as required and to respond as
necessary to all incidents as directed to minimise business disruption and operational downtime.
Responsibilities
To respond to defects, faults and client requests and work with others to identify root causes of breakdowns and faults
To identify, and arrange for the requisition of materials in support of assigned maintenance work orders
To undertake all work to a high standard whilst maintaining a safe working environment for all stakeholders
To oversee and escort contractors where required, ensuring their work is satisfactorily completed in line with risk assessments, method statements and contract SLAs
To complete tasks on work orders assigned to you within the designated time period
Essential
Detailed knowledge of installed building engineering services
Five years’ experience in a facilities maintenance
Mechanical NVQ/ BTEC Level 2, MGPSCP and VCP
Able to participate in shift rota
Desirable
Experience of working in a Healthcare environment
Mech-Elec conversion course and LVCP (Lim.)
