Mechanical Application Engineer
The Application Engineer plays a crucial role in the engineering, design, and manufacturing of equipment for all markets. Some of the equipment we produce are pump stations, reverse osmosis/water treatment equipment, control panels, power distribution equipment, and many others. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong technical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, and effective customer communication abilities. The Applications Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
Preliminary Engineering and Conceptualization:
•\tCollaborate with the sales team and customers to understand project requirements.
•\tRead specification and project scope documents through the bidding process.
•\tDevelop preliminary engineering concepts and solutions for equipment.
•\tEvaluate feasibility and provide input on design and performance parameters.
Pricing and Cost Estimation:
•\tPrepare accurate and competitive pricing proposals for customers.
•\tCollaborate with vendors for component selection, pricing, and application.
•\tMaintain pricing documentation and stay updated on cost factors.
Customer Interface:
•\tServe as a primary point of contact for customers throughout the start of the project lifecycle.
•\tAddress customer inquiries, technical concerns, and provide timely responses.
•\tBuild and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance client satisfaction.
Sales Support:
•\tWork closely with the sales team to identify opportunities, tailor proposals, and assist with closing deals.
•\tProvide technical support during sales presentations and customer meetings.
Technical Expertise:
•\tStay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices related to packaged equipment in relevant markets.
•\tContinuously improve technical knowledge and expertise in product offerings.
•\tProvide technical guidance to internal teams and customers.
•\tProvide functional guidance to internal engineering teams and applicable external stakeholders.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Communication:
•\tCollaborate with various departments, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure project success and adherence to specifications.
•\tCommunicate effectively with cross-functional teams to coordinate handoff the project management team.
Documentation and Reporting:
•\tMaintain accurate records of customer interactions, project details, and engineering concepts.
•\tPrepare reports, project summaries, and technical documentation as needed.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
•\tEnsure that engineered solutions meet industry standards, regulations, and company quality standards.
•\tCollaborate with the quality control team and project management team to address any quality-related issues.
Problem Solving:
•\tIdentify and resolve technical challenges and issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
•\tImplement effective solutions to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
•\tBachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred).
•\t2+ years of experience in a similar role within the equipment manufacturing industry.
•\tProficiency in engineering software and design tools.
Strong grasp of engineering concepts and calculations (such as fluid mechanics)Experience with automated fluid processes•\tStrong interpersonal and communication skills.
•\tExcellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
•\tKnowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
•\tAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
•\tWillingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits as necessary.
•\tProficiency in Microsoft Office Products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
Bonus eligible - 10% (+/-) based on company performance. Paid quarterly.
