Mechanical Project Engineer
Description Mechanical Application Engineer The Application Engineer plays a crucial role in the engineering, design, and manufacturing of equipment for all markets. Some of the equipment we produce are pump stations, reverse osmosis/water treatment equipment, control panels, power distribution equipment, and many others. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong technical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, and effective customer communication abilities. The Applications Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and ensure customer satisfaction. Preliminary Engineering and Conceptualization: • Collaborate with the sales team and customers to understand project requirements. • Read specification and project scope documents through the bidding process. • Develop preliminary engineering concepts and solutions for equipment. • Evaluate feasibility and provide input on design and performance parameters. Pricing and Cost Estimation: • Prepare accurate and competitive pricing proposals for customers. • Collaborate with vendors for component selection, pricing, and application. • Maintain pricing documentation and stay updated on cost factors. Customer Interface: • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers throughout the start of the project lifecycle. • Address customer inquiries, technical concerns, and provide timely responses. • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance client satisfaction. Sales Support: • Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities, tailor proposals, and assist with closing deals. • Provide technical support during sales presentations and customer meetings. Technical Expertise: • Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices related to packaged equipment in relevant markets. • Continuously improve technical knowledge and expertise in product offerings. • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and customers. • Provide functional guidance to internal engineering teams and applicable external stakeholders. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Communication: • Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure project success and adherence to specifications. • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to coordinate handoff the project management team. Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, project details, and engineering concepts. • Prepare reports, project summaries, and technical documentation as needed. Quality Assurance and Compliance: • Ensure that engineered solutions meet industry standards, regulations, and company quality standards. • Collaborate with the quality control team and project management team to address any quality-related issues. Problem Solving: • Identify and resolve technical challenges and issues that may arise during the project lifecycle. • Implement effective solutions to ensure project success and customer satisfaction. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred). • 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the equipment manufacturing industry. • Proficiency in engineering software and design tools. + Strong grasp of engineering concepts and calculations (such as fluid mechanics) + Experience with automated fluid processes • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Willingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits as necessary. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint Skills engineering concepts, MS excel, equipment manufacturing, fluid mechanics, communication and people skills, water treatment system Top Skills Details engineering concepts, MS excel, equipment manufacturing, fluid mechanics, communication and people skills Additional Skills & Qualifications n/a Experience Level Mid Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
