Based at our facility in Bohle, Townsville

Locomotive, wagon, or Passenger carriage (Rolling Stock) overhaul/ maintenance experience

Monday to Friday, Day shift, 1 RDO per month

UGL’s Manufacturing Maintenance site based in Townsville is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter with Locomotive, wagon, or Passenger carriage (Rolling Stock) overhaul/ maintenance experience to join our team. These roles will be offered on full time permanent basis working day shift 6:00am to 14:30pm Monday to Friday.


Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will see you working on Rollingstock conducting maintenance, overhaul and servicing and general workshop duties as required.

About You

To be considered for the role you will possess the following skills, experience and attributes:

· Trade qualification or equivalent

· Previous experience working within the rail industry

· Experience in assembly and maintaining of machinery

· Ability to read, interpret and understand plans, diagrams, drawings and specifications

· knowledge of manufacturing and component overhaul processes and practices

· Additional tickets such as Forklift, Crane and Confined Space would be beneficial but not essential

· High levels of attention to detail.

· Excellent Communication skills.

· Great time management skills.

· The ability to work within a team and unsupervised.
