Mechanical Engineer I
**Job Description** The selected candidate will work in the Mechanical Engineering group within the C5ISR Solutions organization. This is an entry level mechanical design position which will require an individual with a strong background in drawing standards and practices as well as familiarity with 3D modeling. The selected candidate will also be afforded the opportunity to work hand in hand with our internal machine shop on prototype designs and test fixtures, as well as reverse engineering assignments. May also be required to support the mechanical shock and vibration testing of C4ISR equipment in accordance with Navy standards. This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program Fluency in AutoCAD and a 3D modeling program Ability to work at heights (climbing ship masts) **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** Shock and/or vibration experience Experience with military specifications/standards Machining or manufacturing experience Experience with military communications equipment Familiarity with Inventor **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $56540 - $96140 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
