About the role:As a Mechanical Engineer you will be part of our Materials and Aging Management Team reporting to the Manager of Materials & Aging Management working hybrid based in Cranberry Woods, PA. We can entertain candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future.
Responsibilities:Finite element analyses (FEA) to develop inspection acceptance criteria for nuclear power plant components like bolting patterns and flaw acceptance criteria for components impacted by material degradation mechanisms.
Calculations for and apply ASME Code to design and analysis of reactor vessel internals components using FEA and other engineering tools.
Qualify replacement reactor internals components for plant operation (e.g., structural evaluations including stress and fatigue)
Evaluate degradation observed in plant components to permit continued operation
Resolve plant outage issues through qualitative and quantitative engineering evaluations
Support larger generic projects that are developing the industry guidance and requirements for safe long-term operation of nuclear power plant reactor vessel internals components

Materials science
Qualifications:3+ years of experience
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other related engineering discipline
