Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

Responsibilities This Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for HVAC design (airside, hydronic, steam) for a wide variety of multi-disciplinary (A&E) project types such as: Mission Critical Science and Technology Advanced Manufacturing US Government Aviation Healthcare It may also require Project Manager responsibilities for engineering-prime projects including: Client interface Generate and track project delivery schedule Develop and allocate fees for mechanical engineering work Coordinate with MEP department heads for resource allocation Tracking budgets throughout design Additional engineering studies for highly technical clients whose details include but are not limited to payback analyses, knowledge of industry trends, and local contractor and maintenance expertise; Technical writing for engineering studies, Basis of Design documents, and narratives for non-technical audience explaining engineering concepts to facilitate decision-making; Overseeing load calculations; Developing system applications; Engineering program coordination; Equipment sizing and calculations; Coordination with all trades, including architectural, structural and civil; Energy modeling; Signing and sealing contract documents; Mentorship, both continual as well as presentations for in-house continuing education program. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an accredited, four-year university; Ten years of engineering experience in the commercial building design and construction industry with a current Professional Engineers license in the U.S.; Five years of experience as the primary engineering interface with multiple clients. This could be either as a project manager or as the engineering lead; Professional Engineering license; Technical writing experience and proficiency; Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project; Experience with REVIT 2016 or newer. Experience is considered at least 25% of work hours spent in production with the software; Experience with Trane Trace or IES VE Energy Modeling software; Willingness to travel overnight for projects up to 10% of the time; Five years project management / client interface experience; Strong interpersonal/communication skills needed for client interface. #LI-KS1 Page is an EOE/AA/VET/IWD employer and subscribes to E-Verify.
