Job Requirements:
BS Degree in Engineering or related field
Five years of industry experience, preferably in aircraft seating design
Proficiency in Solidworks or comparable CAD program
Knowledge of FAA regulations and certification processes
Understanding of standard aircraft components, materials, and aviation hardware
Experience with stress analysis, finite element modeling (FEM), and 3D-computer modeling
Preferred Skills:
Ten years of industry experience or Master's Degree with eight years of relevant experienceJob Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to engineering personnel for various programs
Develop statements of work from limited customer specifications
Conduct feasibility studies for proposals and statements of work
Produce design data for manufacturing, assembly, and installation of aircraft modifications
Perform preliminary engineering analysis to substantiate modifications
Review design data produced by less experienced engineers
Mentor less experienced engineers
Coordinate with Certification to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Interface with other departments to meet customer requirements
Support design review meetings with customers
Provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly phases
