Summary: Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical and electromechanical products and custom systems for pressure retaining laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Requirements:
BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related)
5+ years of Engineering experience
Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles
Ability to read and apply national and international codes and standards
Ability to manage work output of Designers and Drafters
Professional Engineer registration or willingness to obtain
Preferred Skills:
Proficient with 3D Solid Modeling tools
Experience with the design of boilers or other pressure vessels
Responsibilities:
Design instruments, controls, mechanical, thermal, and heat transfer systems
Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems using mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, stress analysis, and material science principles
Coordinate the design and development of new products
Analyze sales orders and customer requirements for feasibility and quality adherence
Direct fabrication and testing activities ensuring compliance with engineering design, codes, and specifications
Collaborate with various departments to develop solutions for customers
Ensure engineering practices align with ISO 9001:2015, ASME, PED, CSA, CE certifications
Provide technical support to sales staff for quotations and service inquiries
Initiate, evaluate, approve, and check engineering changes of standard products
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
