If you're an enthusiastic and proactive engineer who excels in collaborative, dynamic environments and is driven to make a tangible difference, we encourage you to apply! **Responsibilities Include:** + Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA). + Perform engineering analysis, including stress analysis, thermal analysis, fluid dynamics, and vibration analysis, using FEA and CFD tools. + Select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerances for mechanical designs. + Develop and execute test plans and procedures to validate the performance and reliability of mechanical systems. + Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during development, testing, and production phases. + Collaborate effectively with electrical, software, and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems. + Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation. + Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices. + Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback. + Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for design processes and methodologies. + Potentially mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians. **Required Qualifications** : + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. (Permitted experience exchange: High School and 6 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 4 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree) + 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design and analysis, preferably with a focus on electronic systems. + Proficiency in using 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for design and documentation. + Knowledge of material selection, manufacturing processes, and GD&T. **Desired Qualifications:** + Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. + Familiarity with environmental testing standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810) and EMI/RFI shielding principles. + Experience designing mechanical solutions for military, aerospace, or other harsh environment applications. + Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and their implications for hardware design. + Familiarity with TEMPEST requirements or other security-related design considerations. + Experience with data center cooling or high-performance computing thermal management. + Understanding of cable management best practices for secure environments. **Clearance Requirements:** + Must have a current/active TS/SCI **Physical Requirements:** + The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
