Arcadis is excited to announce an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our expanding Building Services team in Brisbane. Role accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Reporting to the QLD Team Leader / Discipline Manager, you will:

Assist in delivering project tasks to meet budget, time-frame, and quality targets, exceeding client expectations. Promote and market Arcadis’ services during client and stakeholder interactions. Contribute to achieving the divisional business plan. Build networks and relationships within the industry. Collaborate across design disciplines to ensure integrity and quality in overall designs. Resolve technical issues and provide guidance to team members. Prepare and register documentation, ensuring compliance with Arcadis standards. Maintain communication with Project Managers, Team Leaders, and clients. Engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD). Perform investigations, analysis, and design tasks in line with client requirements and standards. Ensure all designs meet national codes of practice and Arcadis specifications. Review completed engineering work for accuracy. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

We’re seeking energetic individuals with a commitment to excellence and innovation. You’ll need:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering. At least 5 years of experience delivering engineering projects within the Building Service sector. Rail/Station Design experience and experience working on large Health projects is a must. Experience with Commercial Office Projects. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally. A passion for thinking in an innovative and entrepreneurial manner. Working towards Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation. Client/internal project management experience (advantageous but not essential).
