ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

Provide mechanical designs, drawings, and related information for customers, suppliers, and manufacturing using CAD, PDM, and related software Work with other departments on moderately complex tasks to identify the best course of action Analyze the design for tolerance stack-up, ease of manufacture, and compliance to requirements/standard processes/specifications/etc. Provide mark-ups for other team members Check the work of other team members for accuracy and compliance with current practices Update department procedures Support special initiatives within the department

EDUCATION:

Certification / degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE: 

2 years of mechanical drafting/design/engineering or equivalent experience Education which would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required for this role

SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:

Mechanical drafting General knowledge of Heim products and manufacturing processes Solid modeling and drafting in SolidWorks CAD and PDM Software Communicate effectively, orally and in writing Inquisitive Strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft 365 software Documentation / taking notes
