Job Description - Mechanical Designer

Participate in the conceptual and detailed design process of equipment and systems.Design in Inventor employing key modules such as Vault, Content Center, Frame Generator, and Tube & Pipe.Design in Inventor using Top-Down and Bottom-Up workflow methods.Generate 3D models of components for assembly.Create 3D models of equipment and systems from conceptual sketches and descriptions provided by other members of the team.Generate 2D drawings such as PFDs, P&IDs, Plot Plans, etc.Peer review, drawings, models, and Bill of Materials.Assist in the preparation of project-specific document deliverables.Assist Procurement department with expediting material and equipment.Issue technical documents to the client.Participate in the preparation of business proposals.Occasional hands-on work including assembly, commissioning, and start-up of systems.Assist in other tasks as required.

Qualifications

More than 5 years of work experience in CAD based design of mechanical systems and equipmentAdvanced proficiency in Autodesk InventorProficiency in AutoCAD Mechanical 2DCompetency in Microsoft OfficeStrong organizational skills to coordinate multiple concurrent projectsSelf-starter, able to carry on responsibilities with low amount of supervisionAble to work with incomplete or ambiguous information and not afraid of asking questionsStrong attention to detail while keeping track of deadlinesPositive attitude, willingness to learn new things, and take on new tasks as neededTeam player with collaborative attitude. Sees beyond personal duties to achieve common goalsStrong work ethic, accountable, responsible for own actions
