Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a power generation company located in Glastonbury, CT. This position is a hybrid role with 3 days a week on-site and 2 days remote. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role with a focus in the design of fluid systems. The Mechanical Engineer will work with team members to create reliable and secure system solutions for generating stations and its ancillary equipment. Skills and Requirements - Experience designing fluid systems including: pumps, motors, valves, instrumentation and pipe/tube components - Cad software proficiency (AutoCad and NX preferred. SolidWorks or similar can be substituted) - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. - Experience ANSI/ASME B31.1 or B31.3, such as Power piping, Industrial piping, and process design. - Experience with Gas Turbines, power stations, or batch processing/manufacturing facilities preferred - Experience with SAP Enterprise management software - Design experience on piping systems for water, diesel fuel, lubricating oil and natural gas with all manner of, shutoff, control and pressure regulating valves, as wells as pumps and instrumentation - such as transmitters, RTDs, thermocouples, sensors, vibration probes, etc. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
