To €90,000 DOE + Package + Rotational Roster 

Our client, a leading delivery partner specialising in Data Centre Solutions with expertise spanning the entire lifecycle of data centre projects, is actively looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer. As Mechanical Commissioning Engineer your role involves planning, executing, and documenting commissioning activities for mechanical systems and will play a critical role in the final stages of a project, ensuring the system is safe, fully functional, and compliant with industry standards and client requirements.  

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:  

Review design documentation and specifications to fully understand the scope of mechanical systems and commissioning requirements to develop commissioning plans and schedules in alignment with the overall project timeline.  

Perform detailed testing, commissioning/ inspection, and verification of mechanical systems to ensure they meet design specifications, installed correctly, functioning as designed, safety regulations, and operational standards.  

Identify any issues, faults, or defects in mechanical and HVAC systems during commissioning and resolve technical issues promptly.  

Maintain comprehensive records of commissioning activities, including test results, inspection reports, and any non-conformance issues and provide detailed commissioning reports to senior management.  

Work closely with the QA/QC, accounts payable department, construction team, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure a smooth transition from installation to operation.  

Ensure all commissioning activities comply with relevant health and safety standards and mechanical regulations, following established safety protocols, codes, and industry standards.  

Support the final handover of mechanical systems to the client, including providing necessary documentation, training, and support for system operation and maintenance.  

Organise, attend, and contribute to daily and weekly commissioning meetings with internal teams and vendors. 

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.  

3+ years of experience in a commissioning role, mechanical/HVAC testing, and verification, with focus on data centre, commercial, industrial, and pharmaceutical type of projects.  

Strong understanding of mechanical/HVAC systems. 

Ability to identify and resolve issues in mechanical systems during commissioning.  

Strong analytical thinking to interpret technical data and apply practical solutions.  

In-depth understanding of mechanical system design, operation, and safety with familiarity with testing and diagnostic tools used in mechanical commissioning.  

High level of precision and attention to detail in inspecting and testing mechanical systems.  

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare detailed commissioning reports and work effectively with project teams and clients.
